Brownhill Hayward Brown Architect have been appointed to restore the Edwardian Drinking Fountain at Warley Woods - located near the Children's Play Area off Abbey Road . 
They will be restoring its gothic roof canopy with clay titles and repairing its stone base. 
The area around the fountain will be re-landscaped to provide access up to and around the fountain and additional seating.  This work has been made possible by Cory Environmental Trust in Britain, WREN, Sandwell MBC and donations from members of the public. 
Total cost for the project is £74,000.

The Community Trust is currently exploring options for the landscaping around the fountain. 
Options for two schemes can be seen below.  Work on site will begin in Spring 2009 and will be completed for a rededication in July 2009 at the annual Picnic in the Park.
